Mattar Paneer recipe with Goosebumps Artisanal Garam Masala | Restaurant Style

Ingredients

  1. Goosebumps classic garam masala – 1 heaped tsp
  2. Paneer – 200 gm (Diced)
  3. Oil – 1 tbsp
  4. Ghee – 2 tbsp
  5. Onion – 2 nos (roughly chopped)
  6. Green chilly – 1 no
  7. Garlic – 3 cloves
  8. Ginger – 1 inch piece
  9. Tomato – 4 medium tomatoes (roughly chopped)
  10. Cumin seeds (Jeera) – ½ tsp
  11. Bay leaf (Tej Patta) – 1 no
  12. Dry red chilly – 1 no
  13. Kashmiri red chilly powder (Lal mirch) – ½ tsp
  14. Turmeric powder (Haldi)– pinch
  15. Green peas – ½ cup
  16. Water – as needed
  17. Salt – to taste
  18. Corriander leaves (dhaniya)– (finely chopped)

Method

  1. Heat half the oil and ghee in a pan and fry the paneer until golden brown, remove and keep aside• Heat half the oil and ghee in a pan and fry the paneer until golden brown, remove and keep aside.
  2. In the same pan, add ginger, garlic, onion, tomatoes and just enough water to cover and cook until soft. Puree this mixture and keep aside.
  3. Add the remaining oil and ghee in the pan, add bayleaf, chopped red chilly, turmeric, 1 heaped spoon of Goosebumps Classic Garam masala and the tomato mixture and cook until oil separates.
  4. Add in the peas, Red chilly powder and fried paneer and cook for 3-5 minutes, Garnish with coriander leaves.
  5. Check seasoning and serve hot.
