Sev – Tameta Nu Shaak

This is a delicious, quick-to-make vegetarian Gujarati dish where the tomatoes are cooked in a tangy, mildly spicy simple gravy. This dish gets a crunchy and savoury flavour boost with the addition of sev or gathiya, which is sprinkled on top before serving. It is an irresistible side dish that can be served with chapati, paratha, or rice.

Ingredients
- Sev/Ganthias/Bundis – 50 gm
- Tomato - 2 nos (Sliced)
- Goosebumps Sabzi Masala - 1 teaspoon
- Lime – ½ no
- Sugar – ½ teaspoon (Optional)
- Water – ½ cup (120 ml)
- Oil – 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
Directions
- On a low flame, heat oil in a pan, add Goosebumps Gujarati Sabzi Masala and tomatoes and saute for a few minutes or until aromatic.
- Add water, sugar and salt, cook till tomatoes are tender, Simmer for a few minutes and switch off the stove.
- Add sev/Ganthias/Bundis, Squeeze lime. Cover the pan for 2 to 3 min. Serve Hot
- Serve hot with rotis or rice.
