Makai Ka Chiwda

This light and crispy snack recipe made with Cornflakes is seasoned with our Jeeralu masala and Chaat masala. It is an ideal tea time companion. Its a travel-friendly snack and can also be stored in an airtight container for weeks, making it a great homemade munching option.

Ingredients
- Peanuts - ½ cup
- Roasted Gram dal - ¼ cup
- Almonds - ¼ cup
- Cashew nuts - ¼ cup
- Raisins - 2 tablespoons
- Dry Coconut - ½ cup (sliced)
- Red Chili - 3 nos
- Curry Leaves - 10 nos
- Makai poha/Cornflakes - 400 gms
- Goosebumps Jeeralu seasoning - 1 tablespoon
- Goosebumps Chaat Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Powdered sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
Directions
- In hot oil, fry the peanuts until it turns crunchy. keep aside, also, fry ¼ cup roasted gram dal on low flame until it turns crunchy. keep aside, further take ¼ cup almonds, ¼ cup cashew and fry them till they turn golden brown and keep aside.
- Add 2 tablespoons raisins and fry till they puff up. keep aside, In the hot oil, fry ½ cup dry coconut till they turn golden brown and crisp, also, fry 3 dried red chili and a few curry leaves till they turn crisp. keep aside.
- In a large bowl take, fried peanuts, roasted gram dal, dry fruits, and coconut, add the Goosebumps Jeeralu Masala, Goosebumps Chaat Masala and sugar and mix well. make sure to add masala when it's still hot, or else the seasonings will not mix properly.
- Now in very hot oil add makai poha and fry until they puff up, make sure to fry in very hot oil else the cornflakes will not puff up. drain off to remove excess oil, add the corn flakes to the peanuts and chana mixture and mix well
- This mixture keeps well for a month in an air tight container.
